The Frankfurt Auto show is the largest motor show in the world. It is held biennially in Frankfurt, Germany. Although it occurs on an annual basis, it alternates between passenger vehicles one year and commercial vehicles the next. This show I mostly dominated by European car manufacturers like Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche which use this show exclusively as a platform for launching their latest models. The popularity of the show is merely due to its magnanimity and spread of vehicles that is a rare sight in any other auto show in the world.
Geneva Auto show
The motor show held in Geneva every year is known as the International Geneva Motor Show. The show is organized by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles, and is considered to be a very important auto show in Geneva. The show was first held in 1905 and since has been famous for showcasing major international combustion engine car models. Although Switzerland lacks an automobile industry of its own the show is regarded as one of the most prestigious auto shows in the globe. The Geneva Auto show was held on the 4th of March in 2010. The event was an absolute eye stealer with supercars like the latest version of the Lamborghini and Porche being showcased to make the auto show an instant success.
LA Auto show
The Los Angeles Auto show is held every year in the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event has come a long way since the first show in 1907. The show continued to grow till the 1930's but it had to face a few challenges after the Second World War. However the show picked up momentum in the 1950's and today is one of the most famous auto shows in the world.
